Full guidance for medical professionals on Continuing Professional Development in medical leadership is here

Honesty and integrity

The GMC's 'Good Medical Practice' guide states that doctors should be 'honest and trustworthy, and act with integrity'. FMLM expects these behaviours to be upheld in the full scope of a doctor's practice and users should ensure that CPD records and reflections are recorded accurately.

Responsibility for your own development
All doctors are responsible for their own personal learning as outlined in the GMC's 'Continuing professional development: guidance for all doctors'. This includes:
  • identifying your own CPD needs
  • planning how you will address those needs
  • undertaking CPD activities that are relevant to your full scope of practice and will support your professional development.

Patient and associate anonymised data
Reflective submissions that include reference to patients, colleagues, clients or any individual that you work with in a professional capacity should be anonymised for confidentiality purposes.
